2022 Yeshe De Text Offering

Apr 1, 2022

This year’s offering, while more modest in size than our usual distribution, provides a glimpse of the breathtaking scope of the Tibetan text tradition. Authors from four major Tibetan schools are included, including the collected works of the brilliant 19th-century masters, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo Pema Osel Dongak Lingpa and Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye.

The rare and precious collection of 108 prayers to Tara, many of which have never before been published, was typeset from an original ancient manuscript. While 250 copies were sent this year by plane, 8,000 copies have been prepared for eventual distribution to both monastic and lay Sangha members.

The following is a list of this year’s special distribution:

  • Collected Works of Trenpo Terchen Sherab Odzer
    7 volumes, 1518-1584 CE
  • Collected Works of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo
    25 volumes, 1820–1892
  • Collected Works of Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye
    25 volumes, 1813–1899
We were able to send 16 volumes of the collection and will send the remaining volumes in the future.
  • Collected Works of Ngoje Repa Zhedang Dorje
    2 volumes
This great Drikung Kagyu master was born in the early part of the 12th century in the Ngor region of Tsang, Central Tibet.
  • A famous commentary on the Kalachakra Tantra by Sakya master and scholar Taktsang Lotsawa Sherab Rinchen
    1405-1477 CE
  • Tara Collected Prayers
    1 volume
with full-color Tara thangka images throughout the volume

May the merit generated by publishing these precious collections, these rare jewels, be dedicated to the longevity of the Dharma, to its continued transmission to future generations of the Sangha, and to the perfect liberation of all sentient beings.
