Andy Francis

Andy Francis grew up in Grinnell, Iowa, USA. At SINI he taught the first formal cohort of English for Dharma Purposes class from 2015 to 2019. Andy took on a variety of responsibilities and projects, including teaching beginning, intermediate and advanced English, leading conversation classes, and starting an English student library. This experience helped him discover his passion for teaching. He is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. In his free time, he enjoys English tutoring, gardening and learning to cook. Andy continues to teach English online to SINI’s monks.
