The Six Paramitas: A Retreat at Ratna Ling

The Six Paramitas: A Retreat at Ratna Ling

This July, SINI is offering a 4-day retreat at Ratna Ling Retreat Center in Cazadero, California, exploring the Six Paramitas through the lens of Shantideva’s Bodhicaryavatara.

From July 2nd to 5th, Khenpo Kunga Dakpa, Tsering Gellek, and Barry Schieber will guide participants through a program weaving together Dharma study, guided contemplation, and Kum Nye practice. The retreat asks a simple but searching question: how can these traditional teachings become living practices in the decisions we face today?

Each day follows a rhythm of morning Kum Nye and meditation, teaching sessions, small-group inquiry, and quiet time for rest and integration. Noble silence is observed during breakfast. Participants are invited to bring a personal question or concern they are actively considering.

The retreat includes three nights’ accommodation in private rooms, all vegetarian meals, teachings, course materials, and full access to Ratna Ling’s 113 acres of redwood forest, meditation halls, and sacred architecture.
