PROGRAMS

Monastic Education

Two complementary programs tailored to the unique needs of Buddhist monastics: one focused on English language proficiency, the other on teaching methodology. Together, they equip Khenpos, Lopons, and monastic educators to teach, translate, and serve global audiences.

English for Dharma Purposes classroom

English for Dharma Purposes

A three-year residential program where monastics develop English-language proficiency through the lens of the Dharma. Students progress from foundational communication to advanced translation and academic English. Graduates translate sacred texts, teach at Dharma centers worldwide, and pursue academic pathways at institutions like Oxford University and the Harvard Divinity School.

Monastic Teacher Training

Monastic Teacher Training

An annual intensive training bringing together monastic educators from all four Tibetan Buddhist schools for workshops on modern pedagogy, digital teaching tools, and strategies for engaging lay and youth audiences. The program launched in January 2025 and held its second edition in January 2026 with 38 participants from 30 monasteries across India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
