Rinchen came from Tibet at age eight in 2007, crossing the Himalayas. Overcoming the challenges of adapting to a new country and culture, she studied Tibetan, which was not her first language, and English, and later was selected to attend TCV Selakui. With a focus on Arts/Humanities, she aimed to study law and pursued a bachelor’s degree in law (BALLB Hons) at REVA University in Bangalore, graduating in 2023.
Her passion for education led her to develop an interest in intellectual property rights, particularly in digital law, AI, and traditional cultural expression. This interest brought her to the Tibetan Digital Library Project, where she works to preserve and digitize Tibetan texts. As the project coordinator/consultant, she facilitates communication and collaboration between key institutions and is a legal researcher focusing on copyright laws. Her work integrates her interests in law, digitalization, and Tibetan cultural preservation.
