Living and Serving at SINI:
A Transformative Community Experience

Life at SINI offers volunteers an extraordinary opportunity to immerse themselves in a vibrant community where ancient wisdom meets contemporary service. Our residential volunteers become integral members of our international family, sharing daily life with Tibetan Buddhist monastics from across the Himalayas while contributing their unique skills to our mission of building bridges of goodness.

The experience extends far beyond traditional volunteering. Living at SINI means participating in morning prayers, sharing meals that become moments of meaningful cultural exchange, and witnessing the living transmission of dharma through daily interactions. Volunteers find themselves inspired by the dedication and conduct of our monastic community, while contributing to vital programs like English for Dharma Purposes, translation projects, and educational initiatives.

For our global community unable to join us in India, we offer meaningful ways to support our work remotely. From online teaching opportunities and digital project assistance to fundraising and community outreach, distance volunteers play crucial roles in expanding our reach. Whether through technical skills, language expertise, or administrative support, every contribution helps preserve and share timeless Buddhist wisdom.

We encourage you to reach out and share what talents you have to offer—every skill and passion can find meaningful expression in our collective work. This collaborative approach creates a worldwide network of practitioners united in purpose, demonstrating how service becomes spiritual practice and how individual talents can contribute to humanity's collective awakening.
