Study Abroad

Leveraging over a decade of innovative and international educational programs, SINI offers transformative study abroad experiences that immerse students in Buddhist culture and scholarship at the sacred birthplace of the Dharma. Our programs combine academic rigor with cultural immersion, providing students with unique opportunities to study alongside Tibetan monastics, participate in traditional ceremonies, and explore the foundational sites of Buddhism.

Through our Four Noble Truths Seminar & Pilgrimage and other immersive programs, international students gain firsthand experience of Buddhist teachings while developing cross-cultural understanding and global perspectives. SINI's study abroad offerings bridge Eastern wisdom traditions with Western academic frameworks, creating meaningful exchanges that benefit both visiting students and our resident monastic community while fostering lasting connections across cultures.

Residency Exchange at SINI

SINI offers residency exchange opportunities through our Busy Bee Pollinator Program for students from other Nyingma practice centers, providing immersive experiences in Buddhist studies and cross-cultural learning at the sacred birthplace of the Dharma. These exchanges allow students to step outside their familiar practice environments, deepen their understanding through exposure to different teaching styles, and contribute to our vibrant monastic community while exploring the rich spiritual heritage of Sarnath.
