Spring News from SINI

Apr 4, 2025

“Drop by drop is the water pot filled. Likewise, the wise one, gathering it little by little, fills oneself with good.” Dhammapada, Verse 122.

Dear Friend,

This newsletter includes information about our upcoming Building Bridges of Goodness Program in Europe, a save-the-date for next year’s Four Noble Truths Program, a brief introduction to SINI’s latest developments in monastic education, including a link to a new blog dedicated to SINI’s new initiative The Three Cups Training, and a joyful message from a recent volunteer.

Speaking of blogs, a few weeks ago, I was reading one of my favorite contemporary authors, Krista Tippett, in her blog called The Pause, and somewhere tucked at the bottom of the comments to her post was a beautiful remark from a Catholic monk about the importance of monasticism today, and he said, “He likes to think of monasticism as a question mark for society.”  On that note, there are so many questions today that we collectively and individually must find ways to articulate. A sincere question is the only way to start.

As always, please feel free to reach out and share some of your perspectives and news! Thank you for being part of our audience and for your continued interest in our work.

With all good wishes,
