Khenpo Yeshi

Khenpo Yeshi was born in Zamthang, Tibet. When he was thirteen years old, he joined Zamthang Monastery and became a monk. He went on retreat, practicing the Kālacakra for three years, then he studied Buddhist philosophy for six years. In 2004, he came to India and went to Drepung Gomang Monastery, where he studied Buddhist philosophy until 2015, earning his Master’s degree. After that, he went to Jonang Monastery in Pharping, Nepal, where he taught Dharma for a year. Then, for two years, he lived at the Gyuto Monastery in Dharamsala, where he studied the tantras and Tibetan grammar. Khenpo Yeshi served as the SINI’s Principal during Covid.
