Franziska Oertle’s passion and vocation is to teach Colloquial Tibetan as her small personal contribution to preserving the Tibetan culture and the dharma, trying to fulfill the wish of her main (Tibetan Buddhist) teacher, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Upon visiting SINI in January 2019, she was deeply inspired by the dedication of Tsering la, all monks and staff, non-human (four-legged) persons, the members of Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche’s community, and the peace and beauty of the Institute. Teaching Tibetan to foreigners at SINI helps build Bridges of Goodness. Franziska is intent on making Tibetan language studies more widely available.
